Manuel Domingos, LLP.

In his practice, Mr. Domingos combines a practical understanding of law, finance, education, and family dynamics, with a wide-ranging set of life-experiences and an enduring desire to help those around him. He draws upon his background to provide effective representation in family law, corporate / small-business law, estate planning, mental health law, criminal defense, and educational law and advocacy.

Mr. Domingos graduated in 1996 from Auburn University, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Physics. In 1999, he graduated from Columbia Law, and began a career in mergers and acquisitions at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft in New York. Thereafter, Mr. Domingos joined Perkins Coie, LLP, in Menlo Park, California, where he represented tech-startups and venture capitalists, chiefly in Silicon Valley.

Now practicing law in Florida, Mr. Domingos is also a deeply-devoted father to two sons, one step-son and one step-daughter. As such, he has a depth and breadth of personal knowledge regarding the delights and difficulties of running a small business while raising children, blending families, and reshaping families. In addition, Mr. Domingos has extensive experience navigating waters faced by those families whose members have special needs.

Mr. Domingos has long been an involved and connected member of the community; his volunteerism covering a wide range of activities. This includes a three-year tenure as Chairman of the Fairfax County School Board’s School Health Advisory Committee, through which Mr. Domingos was highly involved in the drafting and negotiation of a comprehensive wellness policy for students, families and employees of Fairfax County Public Schools, and which allowed Mr. Domingos to champion the causes of mental and physical health.

Mr. Domingos also served for two years as the president of the PTA at his children’s elementary school, and has long been active in supporting schools which his children have attended. He also enjoys music, coaching basketball, and time with his family.
